Retail transformation programme
Accepted domain architecture · prototypesCommercial Data and Field Execution Platform
One product record, several commercial realities.
Purchasing, category management, finance and store teams need different facts about the same product. A supplier record does not prove receipt, an approved price does not prove checkout adoption, and printing does not prove shelf placement. The project addressed shared identity, explicit authority and traceable outcomes without collapsing those responsibilities.
| Domain | Authority | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Product | Catalogue owner | Reviewed source |
| Price | Commercial owner | Approved version |
| Stock | Stock authority | Physical movement |
Illustrative responsibility matrix · Shared identity does not make every business fact the same.
From master data to confirmed field execution.
We designed product identity, packaging, pricing, campaigns, stock movements and field tasks as one scope. Catalogue approval, selling eligibility, physical receipt and invoice evidence remain distinct. Distribution, checkout adoption and shelf confirmation retain separate states; shared review identifies the responsible domain.
| Domain | Control | Field outcome |
|---|---|---|
| Catalogue | Unit and pack | Store relationship |
| Commercial rule | Version and time | Adoption evidence |
| Inventory | Count / allocation | Open exception |
Illustrative platform scope · Domain design and prototypes do not establish field deployment.
Shared visibility, domain-owned authority.
The accepted design replaces duplicated products, editable stock balances and client-specific pricing with domain-owned contracts. Stable identity, movement-derived quantities and versioned pricing contracts are defined together. Shared management calls the owning domain; workflow screens cannot bypass business rules or rewrite history.
| Domain | Contract | Retained history |
|---|---|---|
| Catalogue | Unit and barcode | Stable identity |
| Pricing | Pricing contract | Original net share |
| Stock | Movement / cutoff | Sourced correction |
Accepted domain decisions · No new database or completed distributed infrastructure is implied.
Decision ownership and field evidence.
- CEO / Operations: Identify open field dependencies and the owner responsible for the next step.
- CFO: Separate price approval from observations; preserve the commercial basis of sales and returns.
- CTO: Govern product identity, units and calculation through shared contracts and domain authority.
| Domain | Control | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Operations | Responsible domain | Field confirmation |
| Finance | Valuation boundary | Original sale |
| Technology | Version / authority | Source history |
Designed management model · No measured margin or working-capital gain is claimed.
Implemented foundations, accepted design.
Domain decisions, contracts and workflows were accepted; controlled interaction prototypes were checked. Catalogue, barcode and pricing foundations were implemented. Complete stock authority, distribution, external channel consumers and physical field execution still require development and qualification.
| Domain | Maturity | Evidence boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Catalogue / price | Implemented | Recording scope |
| Domain model | Accepted | Tested prototype |
| Complete platform | Build + qualification | Stock, distribution, devices |
